Watermain replacement in Central Wainuiomata
Just a heads up...as Wellington Water makes progress with the watermain upgrade there will be a temporary disruption to water supply to residents and businesses on Queen Street and Fitzherbert Road.
This shutdown is from Thursday 1 September 9:00pm – Friday 2 September 3:00am (overnight).
We recommend households on these streets fill some containers with water beforehand to use during the shutdown period if required.
There will also be some construction noise which will affect these streets and the surrounding area, but we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we complete this critical work that will improve Wainui’s drinking water performance and reduce the risk of emergency repairs in the future.
