Please take extra care at these major intersections in the Hutt City CBD this week.
Work on our new water treatment pipeline is heading into the Kings Crescent and Queens Drive areas.
There will be traffic disruptions and delays during busy periods. Please consider using alternative routes. If you can, please try and avoid the marked intersections of Kings Crescent this week (from 6 November).
The pipeline is now complete up to Waterloo Road. Additional road works will be required to complete pump upgrades along Knights Road. The road closure at Willoughby Street remains in place.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
