Sir Richard Taylor opens Lord of the Rings BOOKTOWN QUIZ this SAturday

The Team from Destination Wairarapa

Featherston Booktown is on this weekend - a highlight event now also has two stars guests: Sir Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger, co-founders and co-directors of Wētā Workshop. Come and hear Richard on Saturday 11 June 2022 3:30pm – 6:00pm at Featherston School in Lyons St.
Richard will kick off the Quiz with stories about his experience with the beloved films.
Hear his anecdotes, then you stay on and give the quiz a go – it’s fun even if you’re not a mega fan (you can even buy answers for questions with jewels provided on your table). Put a quiz team together OR just come and you’ll be hooked up with a team.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
