Wellington Hospital bus hub construction beginning week of 24 September until early November
During the construction period, there will be:
- Restricted pedestrian access to the front steps (barriers will be up and access will be maintained to the front entrance)
- Carparks on the eastern side will be removed (alternative parking will be available in the hospital underground carpark)
- Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane
For the duration of the works Metlink services will continue to operate out temporary stops south of the main entrance and clearly signposted.
Please read our service update for further information. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Poll: Is it rude to take a full trolley to self-checkout?
Luckily self-checkout is pretty common in supermarkets these days and we generally use it to quickly buy a few things without the long lines. But perhaps it's appropriate to head there with your full trolley to skip the lines?
What are your thoughts? Is that rude?
Share in the comments below if this has ever happened to you.
