Free curtains for Porirua people!
If you have a Community Services Card, you can get free curtains through Porirua Whānau Centre this week. Get info and an order form from the Centre from tomorrow, take it home to measure your windows and fill it in, and bring it back before Friday, May 11.
Wellington Curtain Bank then makes the curtains to fit your windows, lining for extra warmth, and drops them back to the Whānau Centre for you to take home and hang. Curtains can keep heat in, cold out and power bills down – a great way to get ready for winter. Combining biking with bus travel
Hi neighbours
Anyone out there who, like me, would love to bike more, but have difficulty getting their bike on the rack on the bus ? It's sometimes necessary, so as to avoid steep hills and roads where I don't feel safe.
Metlink say their drivers aren't meant to help.
