I am a registered secondary teacher, living in Tawa, with over 50 years of teaching service in the secondary and tertiary sectors. I recently retired from Wellington College where I was the careers adviser for the past 15 years.

I am now available for students, and families to provide a range of services which include:

 Setting career goals, exploring options and opportunities

 Post-secondary study options and opportunities, including University, Polytechnics, private training providers, apprenticeships and trade training

 CV writing

 How to develop a range of skills, qualities and interests necessary to be successful later in life

 How to network and respond to employer demands and expectations including research and interview skills

 How to be successful in applying for scholarships

 How to gain work experience, part time and full time jobs

 Weighing up the benefits of Gap years

 Developing leadership skills

 How to respond to the areas of job and skill shortages in a rapidly changing world

 subject choices and where they can lead

My rates are $55 per hour, much less than a plumber or lawyer!
