There is help available for these families, with free programmes that teach them how to use the internet, email and teaches some basic computer skills. Sometimes the programme partners provide free computers for those that can't afford them, other times it might be a really good data package.
In August a 9 week course is starting for families in the Eastern Suburbs of Wellington. This is a partnership between Whitireia, Scots College and E - Learning Porirua. The course is free to those on a benefit.
If you wish to register for this course or if you would like to know more, call Lynda Murray on 021 247 9728 or email her on lovestrathmorepark@gmail.com
