Houghton Valley School Fair - Tomorrow 10am -2pm!
The annual Houghton Valley Community Fair is on tomorrow, Saturday November 23rd. Come along for a great day out on the South Coast. We are renowned for our great food and awesome games and activities on the school field. Pony rides, petting zoo, bouncy games, prizes to be won. Fantastic entertainment from our talented whanau and friends. Also a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping at our Silent Auction, craft, clothes, toys, books and plants stalls. We hope to see you there!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
