I have a 30sqm strip across the front of my place for which I’m charged $653.70/year. If I owned the land I’d pay $191.32/year on top of my rates.
How is this fair. This piece of land is not usable by anyone other than us and provides little utility other than we cross it to get into our house. I’ve emailed WCC asking how they calculate the rate/square metre but haven’t heard back yet. If you’re interested in being involved in following up further on this let me know either here or via messenger.

Did you know that in New Zealand about 9,000 people each year have a stroke. Some 2,000 die from a stroke; about another 2,000 are left severely incapacitated, about another 2,000 have considerable disability and the rest have some disability or nearly recover. Nobody recovers completely.
It is estimated that some 50% of strokes can be avoided with life-style changes.
Interested to find out what you can do to have a good chance to avoid a stroke??
Kind regards
Tony Biss

It is great if you don’t do a lot of sewing or are just a beginner. On the photo you can see the numerous functions and features it has and it comes with an instruction book and in its original box. It still looks like new. The adaptor still has an English plug, but if you need one , I have a brand new NZ one here you can have for an extra $5. Please PM me if interested to buy this or text me on 0272484333

"I managed to get some birdie time yesterday at Silverstream just in time before the wet weather set in! Spent a bit of time chasing an elusive kōtare but no shots unfortunately! I did get close to a few Goldfinches at one stage which is unusual as they are normally very skittish!
I discovered a shag high up in the trees near a playground too! A shame it was too dark to get a decent capture but I liked the shadow effect! Saw lots of ducks in the stream, I think that there were a couple of Australian Shovellers if I am not mistaken!
The first photos is of tui that I had earlier been stalking around my property. He had plenty to say to me...."
