English Mahogany Campaign Desk. Circa 1850.

Purchased in UK 35 years ago (antique) to sell to a discerning owner. Lots of interesting features - Original handles, locks, escutcheons and key. Top locates to bottom with raised lugs. Top and 2 bases separate for easy removal. Front has 9 graduated drawers featuring figured Mahogany. Back has 3 drawers above 2 doors with Faux drawers. Leather insert is probably original, green with gold embellishment. All brass corners are present.
Some minor scratching and veneer chip to top (for restoration).
Sitting on 9 turned bun feet.
In overall excellent condition.
A very rare example of this type of Campaign Furniture.
mahogany, re-inforced brass cornerings, leather top, keys still work. Minor restoration required (small area of veneer). Offers will be considered above $5K. Worth $10-20K.
