Do you create high quality paintings or artisan products?
Hi everyone, I now have seven artisans and painters interested in joining 'The Art Shop', (Wellington artists' collective). If you create high quality objects or paintings and would like to be a part of an organization that takes as little money from your sale price as possible consider sending me images of your work. All artists will be asked to contribute $20pw towards the rent and do a few hours in the shop each fortnight (if possible). If work is unsuitable it won't be criticised but politely declined. Poll: Is it rude to take a full trolley to self-checkout?
Luckily self-checkout is pretty common in supermarkets these days and we generally use it to quickly buy a few things without the long lines. But perhaps it's appropriate to head there with your full trolley to skip the lines?

In our September mag, Amy Roberts from Villaleigh Plants has a list of her favourite blooms for long display. "If you want a long season, look beyond the flowers," is her advice.
