Road closure affecting Bus Stop #5000 & Stop #5002
Due to Courtenay place resurfacing work commencing from Friday 10 January to Saturday 11 January between 7am - 7pm each day. All westbound bus services heading towards Manners Street will need to be diverted via Wakefield Street to Taranaki Street to Manners Street then back on route during this time.
What does this mean for you? The lane heading towards Manners Street on Courtenay Place (from Cambridge Terrace to Taranaki Street) will be closed. Stop #5000 - Courtenay Place - Stop A is now relocated outside the YHA Wellington Backpacker Hostel on Cambridge Terrace. Stop #5002 - Courtenay Place at St James Theatre will be relocated outside the Reading Cinema carpark on Wakefield Street during diversion hours.

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
