Rimu - recyclable pickets - free
I have a stack of rimu pickets from a picket fence that's been replaced. Reason for replacement is the fence rail has failed and it was easier and tidier to replace all the pickets with new ones as the old ones were a bit frayed at the bottom too. There are a few pine pickets mixed in there a few were replaced over the years.
These old rimu pickets could be recycled by either trimming off the bottoms and using them (shorter) on another picket fence, or removing the paint and recycling the rimu e.g for craft, etc.
Seems like a waste to throw away rimu which is increasingly hard to get. But if interested, please respond asap as I need to let the builder know to either leave or dispose (as I don't have time to do anything with them). Happy to let someone make good use of these rather than see them go to waste!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
