Have you been considering hosting an International Student in 2020? Marsden School (Karori) has an international staff team who will support you to ensure that hosting is a rewarding experience for your family. We are keen to hear from potential hosts whose first language is English, and who will include their student in all aspects of family life, provide all meals and a separate bedroom with space to study. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
