Chinese cooking classes at Marsden

To celebrate Chinese New Year Marsden teacher Jing Ying Herrington organised Chinese cooking classes for students and staff. Mr Yin, chef and owner of the Newtown Beijing Restaurant demonstrated two well-known Chinese dishes, egg fried rice and chicken with cashew nuts. We learned some great tips ... marinate chicken in egg white (keeps it tender) and use cornflour (so it does not go watery!) ... a very cool and delicious way to celebrate Chinese New Year!
