This play area is very popular with local residents and many others from around Wellington but there are no toilets or drinking fountain. The WCC does plan to upgrade the play area but not until 2022/23 – we think it needs to be much sooner! Some people are in support of the scooters, others have found a way to make extra pocket money from them, and even singer Taylor Swift was apparently spotted on one in Auckland recently. But the scooters have also caused controversy as one model has already been recalled.

So what are your thoughts on the scooters? Do think they'd be a great way to zip along the Wellington streets? Or are they an accident waiting to happen? Share your thoughts with us in the replies below!
