Center Manager from Greta Point - Active Explorers

Kia Ora Wellington whanau!

At Greta point, we are fortunate enough to have Jo who is one of our amazing team members. She looks after all of us and is really the best cook.

During the Lock down, each week Jo has been sharing with our Greta Point whanau some of the recipes she makes at the center which are firm tamariki favourites!

Attached is a message from Jo along with 4 things we can try at home for something different to eat. (my firm favourite is homemade crumpets!).

Hi Friends and Whanau,

How are you doing, going crazy like me? I can’t wait to get back to work and seeing all your lovely children.

Now down to business, I have found some new recipes, I have tried the home-made crumpets (yum), the carrot bliss balls sounded interesting plus I have included savoury muffins.

If you try these recipes please let me know how it went!

Here’s a new recipe I found quite interesting:
1 medium banana
1/2 cup rolled oats
40g choc chips

Mash banana, add oats and choc chips, roll into balls, bake 180 for

10-15 minutes.

Have a Great week.

Stay safe, Kia kaha.

Poll: Is it rude to take a full trolley to self-checkout?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Luckily self-checkout is pretty common in supermarkets these days and we generally use it to quickly buy a few things without the long lines. But perhaps it's appropriate to head there with your full trolley to skip the lines?

What are your thoughts? Is that rude?

Share in the comments below if this has ever happened to you.
