Malaghan Month
It's not just about curing illnesses at the Malaghan Institute, they're also about prevention and how it should start from the moment we are born.
The Translational Immunology team at the institute investigates the development of an optimal immune system from birth and tries to stop people from being infected by non-communicable diseases such as asthma, allergy, obesity, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Get behind this team and the whole institute as they work towards a healthier New Zealand. Support them during the month of October through our #MalaghanMonth initiative!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
