Apartment, fully furnished in Thorndon

Neil from Thorndon

We're leasing the spacious, fully furnished suite in our restored 1890 Thorndon home on St Mary Street. One bedroom, bathroom, large living room with French doors to the verandah sitting area. (See images) Heat, electricity and internet are included in the rent. Great harbour views and a swimming pool. Resident parking at the door.
This is a sunny warm apartment suitable for a single or a couple on Thorndon's finest cul de sac. Shops, restaurants, bars, specialty stores just a one minute walk away. Two minutes to the Botanic Gardens and Rose Garden, eight minutes through the park to Lambton Quay.
We have operated an occasional B&B in the suite for many years which explains the images being labeled Gardens Homestay.
An antique writing desk will replace the bed in the large living room.
Preference will be given to a weekday resident flying home on weekends, but we'll discuss a rental with anyone interested to view.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
