Frank and funny conversation about life in the theatre
At his own admission it took Roger Hall fifteen years to be an overnight success.
Fellow playwright Renée feels her life in theatre is like having ‘wandered into a Beckett play and forgotten the plan’!
Formidable playwrights Roger and Renée come together for a frank and funny conversation about their lives in theatre to help us celebrate the inaugural New Zealand Theatre Month.

The conversation will navigate the satisfaction and uncertainty of their chosen life, the pleasures and horrors of seeing one’s own work performed, directing or not directing one’s own work as well as all manner of terrifying and exhilarating aspects of theatre.

Be privy to the inner world of New Zealand theatre through the experience of two of our most revered playwrights.
