Summertime work on Te Ahumairangi Hill

Errol Greaves from Grow Te Ahumairangi Forest

Summertime releasing work is underway on the Grow Te Ahumairangi Forest project.

If you’d like to join us all you need is a degree of fitness, stout footwear, a pair of gloves and a good eye for plant recognition (or the desire to learn same).

So it’s mainly close work, pulling out weed species around our native plantings and checking growth or survival! We do sessions morning or afternoon on fine days.

If you are keen to see native forest restored on Te Ahumairangi Hill, please join us when you are able.

Phone, text or email me to coordinate a time to join me.

Please spread the word through your communities.

Be well and happy!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
