Please support our Street Appeal!

Phillip Harris from Mary Potter Hospice

For 40 years we’ve provided compassionate, quality hospice care for the terminally ill and their families in our community. Thanks to your generosity, we provide that care when and where you need us, free of charge.

Mary Potter Hospice will be out on the streets of Wellington, Porirua, and Kāpiti on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May for our Annual Appeal. Please donate when you see us - every dollar helps keep our services free. If you don't have cash, we'll have Eftpos at some locations, or you can donate via our website.

We’ve been your Hospice since 1979 and this year, we’re celebrating 40 years with you. Please help us, and give generously this Appeal. Donate here!

Thank you so much for your support

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
