Bus drivers parking on Yellow lines Miramar Avenue
This morning on Miramar avenue, around 7.57am the driver of a Wellington bus - it was green yellow and blue - parked his bus, number 3160 on yellow lines in front of the New worlds petrol station, of course when we are coming out of the petrol station to turn right into traffic going to town – we can’t see the oncoming traffic. I beeped my horn and said ‘you should not be parked there it’s dangerous for us drivers we can’t see oncoming cars’ and he ignored and went back to reading his paper. Three cars nearly crashed into my car because I could not see any clear way because the driver was parked on yellow lines, blocking the view of the cars coming into Miramar Avenue heading East, and I had children in the car. Calvin OR whoever from the regional council looking after the buses - GREAT TRAINING! PLEASE ADVISE YOUR DRIVERS NOT PARK ON YELLOW LINES TO WAIT FOR THEIR NEXT TRIP - IT WILL CAUSE A CAR ACCIDENT WHICH MAY RESULT TO A LOSS IN LIFE BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
