Another good week of Remote Learning at Marsden
Just about the end of another a hugely productive week of remote learning at Marsden, from Preschool to Year 13! A big focus has been on finding a balance between screen-based and non screen-based learning activities, and on keeping connections and relationships thriving through form time and student-led care groups. We are loving the new features of Google Meets which give lots of different possibilities for interactive and creative online lessons. Thanks Marsden whānau for your positive feedback re our Remote Learning programmes, we will keep it up as long as we need to!! Staff and teachers are available to support you, and a huge shout out to our seniors who are keeping the whole school connected with their fun videos, challenges and running their care groups.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
