Childrens after school art classes, 8+
Do you have a child aged 8+ who loves art? It's not too late to book one of our great kids art classes. These 2 classes (age 8+ and 9+) are quite quiet, so we'd love to have you. (Take $12 off the price for missing for the first class)
Monday – Let’s Make Art with Margaret and Melissa Cost: $95 from Monday 29 October - 17 December 2018 running 4- 5.30pm.
Suitable for 9 years and above. This class focuses on developing a wide range of creative and technical skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and textile art. In Term 4 we will be exploring how to use watercolour and zentangles to create interesting paintings, we will also explore mixed media and paint on thick canvas paper in the style of German Abstract artists Gerhard Richter. And finally we will make clay sculptures of Roman style columns and distance markers, that we later paint based on the Antonine Wall built across Scotland well before Hadrian’s Wall. The work is very experimental and all materials required are included in the fee.
And:
Thursday – Let’s Make Art with Julie Cost: $95 from Thursday 25 October until 13 December 2018 running from 4-5.30pm.
Suitable for children 8 years and above. This is a fun and very creative art class in which children are encouraged to draw, colour, paint, and explore different media and techniques. This term we will be doing pottery, printmaking and some other fun crafty/arty things.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.

Can anyone give advice on how to do this? I have already reported the interference to the neighbourly team.
