Why Census is important to health funding for your community
Nelson Marlborough Health Chief Executive Dr Peter Bramley urges all residents in our region to complete the Census survey.
This is because the results are used to calculate funding for health services in our region.
"Census results are used by Statistics NZ, who collect and analyse them to help determine the amount of funding we get to deliver health services to Nelson Marlborough people," Dr Bramley says.
"We need every eligible resident to complete the survey and be counted. And if you have the opportunity to support someone to complete the Census, please do so. This is the first NZ Census that has been offered online and some people might not find it as straightforward as others."
