Have you seen a PortaLoo trailer with minus the PortaLoo?

Malcolm from Otaki District

Over the weekend the members of Kapiti Fly Fishing club held a FREE Family Take a Kid Fishing event at the Winstone Lakes for our local Community and on Saturday evening some 'low-life' came down to the lakes and removed the PortaLoo off the trailer and stole the trailer. They would need specific tools as the PortaLoo was bolted down on the trailer, the trailer belongs to Kapiti Hire and had their name on the trailer. The persons who stole the trailer would have visited the Community Event at some stage on Saturday and participated in the free event, as a member of the Kapiti Fly Fishing Club and one of the members running this event it is bitterly disappointing to know that there are people in our Community that

Mid February: very warm, very dry, & very sunny

Murray from Paraparaumu

I’m sure that comes as no surprise to anyone with only the slightest interest in the weather, but will it continue, I wonder?

February has been similar to January which was also dry and sunny, but was slightly cooler than average. However, February with a daily average temperature of just under 25ºC is running a degree warmer than the forecasts, and the second warmest in 15 years, with only 2016 being slightly warmer.

With no rain at all it’s as dry as 2019 and there has been 11 sunny days with only one with no sun at all.

For some, summer is over at the end of the month (two weeks away), but March with an average temperature of around 22.5 ºC it's still summer in Kapiti.
