Skinny cat, may have been abandoned

Heather from Waikanae Beach

I was out walking this morning when a plaintive "meow" caught my attention, as a very small cat came out of a garden to greet me. It was friendly and was keen to befriend me. I was shocked to see that it was so painfully thin. I tried to find someone nearby to see if they knew who the owner might be, but couldn't find anyone home. I photographed the poor cat and called SPCA and sent them a photo. I'm not sure if they will be ble to locate it because it is wandering from house to house. This was in Leanne Way, off Kennedy Drive in Waikanae Beach. Please look out for this cat and help it if you can.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
