Is Upper Hutt losing its shine
It is patently obvious to me that the UH City Council has tightened its budget on city-wide maintenance. Streets with their pavements and grass berms and vegetation which encroaches onto the pavement are been neglected and recreational areas such as the Trentham Park are not at all as well maintained as was the case a couple of years ago.
Another good example are street lights - where previously a phone call regarding a lamp failure would have had a on-the-job response within a few days it seems now to take several weeks.
Also some recent resealing of roading has left much to be desired.
I'd prefer good maintenance of our streets to an elaborate library. The main library in Lower Hutt could be ditched for a "suburban" version and UH people directed to the main library of Lower Hutt.

Poll: Should employees be able to work from home?
At the post-Cabinet press conference, the National Party asserted they want public sector staff to return to the office. This has opened a conversation about other sectors in New Zealand who have adopted working from home (WFH).

DOES SKY BOX REACH FOR THE STARS
New Sky boxes coming my way as replacements. They are valued at $200 each.
Sky Tv rate them as a great step forward.
Lots of TV viewers must have the new model by now, so how much of an improvement are they really?
