A Circus School Is Coming To Town
Children in Upper Hutt will soon be juggling and hula hooping their way to learning new circus skills thanks to local dance school, Anita’s Dance Academy.
“We are excited to introduce a Circus School to our studio. We have seen a growing interest from children wanting to challenge themselves physically in new ways. A circus school where they learn hula hoop routines, how to juggle and acrobatics certainly offers this. It’s something new and a lot of fun.” said Anita Perin-Zgomba, Principal of Anita’s Dance Academy.
The Circus School will be held on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 3pm and are suitable for children aged 9-14 years. Prior dance or gym experience is an advantage but not necessary.
“We are offering two free classes on Sunday 17th and 24th February for children to try the Circus School.” said Perin-Zgomba.
Parent’s wanting to enrol their child or register to attend the free class can contact Anita’s Dance Academy at anitazdanceacademy@gmail.com or call 021 168 6115.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
