Blooms of toxic algae have been spotted and are being monitored in the following parts of Te Awa Kairangi (Hutt River).

Maoribank Corner
Birchville
Make sure you avoid swimming and keep your dogs away from the river - toxic algae is a real risk to humans and animals.
