Bookshop news for local writers

Writers Plot Bookshop

Starting this Thursday at 11:30AM until 1PM - a Mid-Week writing group will commence at Writers Plot Bookshop and run weekly from Aug 15 until Sept 12th then start up again on the last Thursday of October and run until Dec 19th at which time we will break for Christmas and be back in the New Year.
This is a structured group with lessons and challenges.

or call into the shop during the week or phone us during the week!

There is a small cost for this group (like our other groups). $5 per day
tea/coffee and biscuits provided.

The Saturday writers meetup will continue on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 11am to 12.30pm.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
