Neighbourly Intent

"Building stronger, safer and friendlier communities."
I recently contacted UHCC (following the Recycling issue) with a query about our local council becoming more involved on the Neighbourly scene.
This is the response I got:
"Council has a neighbourly profile, which is used primarily for targeted emergency communications.
We are not interested in extending our social media to include Neighbourly on a day to day basis as our communication needs are more than met through our use of Facebook, our websites, radio and print advertising.
We understand that conversations are happening, but as always, our official channels for feedback are always open. We can be contacted anytime by phone, by submitting a feedback form on our website, or by messaging us on Facebook. We respond to all queries.
"
I did ask for permission to post this response but got no reply so am doing it anyway!
Why am I posting this?? Because UH Leader are posting more and more topical issues here on Neighbourly to stir us up 🤔 (in my opinion that is!)
What are your thoughts folks? How do you envisage a stronger, safer and friendlier community?
