THAT GARAGE/CAR BOOT SALE WITH THE GREAT BIG DIFFERENCE!

Kate from Trentham

Yesterday was a great morning at Upper Hutt Baptist Church's Community Centre and the car park! Car booters out there selling their various wares and inside the Garage Sale with the Big Difference, not to forget the free cuppas served with cheesy toast triangles for customers and car booters.
We were delighted to raise $1,334 and blessed to be able help our regular recipients of financial aid - Womgel, our sponsored girl in Ethiopia through TEAR Fund, Circuit International's work in Myanmar and a family working in Thailand helping Burmese refugees. The remaining proceeds will go to BARNABAS FUND, an amazing organisation that supports persecuted Christians and their families.
Next month SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER we're hoping to make this community event extra-special with Christmas approaching. Why don't you come along and see why we call this THE GARAGE SALE WITH THE BIG DIFFERENCE?

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
