I have a bird problem, with numerous birds roosting in my carport rafters. Its going to take a lot of organising to solve it; but in the meantime- how do I remove the bird droppings from the concrete pad? Ive tried waterblasting and scrubbing wash powder on it with hot water. No luck

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported our honesty boxes at various spots around Havelock North, over the past 5 years. Your honesty and continued custom have been heart-warming and have allowed us to offer avos in this traditional Kiwiana fashion for so long.
We are branching out in new directions in offering Kiwi avos to Kiwis and have set up a fb page, 'Avoya', for ordering boxes to be delivered to your door!! ‘Like’ us here for regular price updates and order info ~ www.facebook.com...
We have also set up a group, for order-sharing with other nearby avo lovers. Join us here ~ m.facebook.com...
(The Village Cobbler will continue to offer our $5 bags ~ and if you, or someone else you know, have a shop front in Havelock and might like to do the same, in exchange for avos, please contact us 0211883204 😊)
Thank you!

Good used condition. One has more wear on the seated area, whilst the other was used as a bedroom decoration and barely ever been sat on. Made by Finewood Upholstery Ltd and "Handcrafted" as per the metal plate on the side of each sofa.
The 'worn" area (on only one of the sofas) has a few threads of the fabric a little pulled, but that's the only evidence of wear as the rest of them is perfect. The worn patches are still intact.
Basically after a re-upholstery project you would have brand new sofas. There is nothing wrong with the sofas other than faded fabric and a bit of loose thread, in other words the seating is still as comfortable as when bought. The wood in good condition except for the one leg (see scuff mark on photo), which needs a light sand with fine paper and a bit of oil. The wood needs a light oiling every few years to keep it nourished.
The fabric is a kind of grey-blue with tulip and another flower on it with other colours of red, gold, brighter blue, orange, purple. The sofas are one solid piece with no loose cushion parts.
Measurements are
173cm across from outside edges of the arms, 83cm from the back to the end of the arm. Height to top of the back (from floor) 86cm. Depth of seat ie from back of cushion to front edge 55cm. Both sofas measure the same.
One owner bought new. Always been in pet-free, smoke free home.
Score a bargain. I am happy for your furniture removal people to pick them up but I won't arrange the freight company for you.
Price: $1,100

We only have 3 full days left before all the Monday morning madness starts again.
Please remember the safety guidelines I posted last term. We need to be especially vigilant, and courteous, next term, as more people will be driving, and trying to get closer to school for drop off and pick up, in the cold and wet weather.
We also have the school fun run coming up at the end of August. Don't forget to get your little athletes signed up at schoolfundraising.co.nz . Every child who raises $10 or more will get a prize. And there are some doozies to pick from, the more they raise.
Don't forget to make sure their winter uniforms, jackets, beanies, umbrellas, gloves, scarves, boots, socks, shoes, bags and even undies are clearly named. Everything needs naming at school.
Seniors, you have swimming starting on Monday. Make sure you have your togs, towels, beanies (for after swimming), goggles and swim bags ready. And take them to school. They're no good if they are all ready and you leave them in your room or by the door.
Pita Pit is up and running again for the term. Remember to top up your accounts and get your orders in by 9am on Wednesday. Please make sure you have completed/SUBMITTED your order, for the correct day, before closing the app/website, to ensure your kids don't miss out. Remind the kids to pick up their order at the school hall kitchen, unless informed otherwise due to the kitchen being out of action.
We also have new treats on our Friday Treats menu. The kids will be excited to choose new lunches, still at great prices. Please have all Friday Treat orders in by the office by 8.45am, latest, on Thursdays, with the correct monies/cheques, as change will not be given.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE FOODS PROVIDED ARE NUT/ALLERGEN FREE. IF YOU REQUIRE CLARIFICATION PLEASE CONTACT ME PERSONALLY AT luncheshomeandschool@gmail.com and I will endeavour to provide you with the correct information.
If you owe money from last term or at any time in the past, please include it, with the correct order money, and a note of the amount owed, for what. We have quite a bit of outstanding lunch order monies.
Remember all money from School Donations, Pita Pit, Friday Treats, Uniform Shop, Fun Runs and events at school, go directly to the school, to help pay for all the wonderful and exciting extra playground equipment, kapa haka kit, swimming lessons, bus trips, sports equipment, classroom tech, enrichment boxes, etc we have for our kids.
So, please, if you do owe money, send it in.
Our next Home & School Meeting is on Tuesday 28th August, in the school staffroom. Do, come along and see what we are all about. It's a great opportunity to have a say in the future funding we help provide (and to find out before anyone else whats happening in and about the school and school community).
Also, we meet every Thursday morning in the staffroom, from 8.30am, to count the lunch orders and have a laugh. Anyone that would like to join us is welcome. It's a fun chance to meet some of us and ask questions. We'll do our best to confuse you 😉. You can also come along to the food distributions. Pita Pit, Wednesdays 12:00pm-12:15pm or Friday Treats, Fridays 11:00am-12:30pm. If you would like to be added to the roster for either, or both, let me know.
I think that pretty much covers everything. So, have a great last weekend and get plenty of sleep, we've got another busy term ahead of us.
Julie, out.
