Welcome Bay Kindergarten Quiz - sponsors & prizes needed
The Committee for Welcome Bay Kindergarten are planning our annual Quiz Night and Auction. The Quiz night will be held at The Tauranga Rowing Club on Saturday 2nd September 2017.
Last year we raised $6400.00 which has been put towards the upgrade of our kitchen and children’s bathroom. As the Ministry of Education no longer fund any upgrading of buildings in Kindergartens, we still need to raise more money to reach our goal! We will also be applying for community grants to help us out.
Is your business interested in sponsoring a table this year?
A donation of $150 gets a quiz table named after your business and you will receive the following advertising/benefits:
Signage in the form of an A4 logo on your sponsored table.
Your advertising material i.e. business cards on all of the other quiz tables.
A power point presentation with your business details on the night.
Advertising in our monthly Kindergarten newsletter for a full year.
Advertising in an exclusive quiz night newsletter.
An advert on our Welcome Bay Kindergarten Whanau Face Book page.
All table sponsorship or prizes donated are tax deductible as the Kindergarten is a not-for-profit organization.
In addition, if you would like, you can get a team of 8 people together and come along to have some fun on the night! Tickets are $20 per person which includes a light supper.
We are also seeking prize donations to include in our auctions or given away as prizes during the night.
Items could include tickets, gift certificates or merchandise.
We appreciate that businesses are often asked for sponsorship and that it is not possible to support every worthy cause, but any support you can offer us would be very gratefully accepted.
If you would like to sponsor a table, buy tickets or donate a prize, please contact wbkindycommittee@gmail.com.
(we have already pre sold 87 tickets!!!)
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
