Open Days: Welcome Bay Supermarket Project
We will be holding two open days to give you an opportunity to meet with council staff and elected members to discuss a potential supermarket in Welcome Bay. Join us on Wednesday, 3 May at the Welcome Bay Community Centre, 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm, or Saturday, 6 May at Waipuna Park Pavilion, 9am to 1pm. We hope to see you there. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
