PLANT SALE at TE PUNA QUARRY PARK on 13 Oct

Te Puna Quarry Park is run by volunteers and maintained partly by donations and proceeds of plant sales. For our next plant sale on 13 Oct., we have a selection of plants, pots, and goodies, while vegetable seedlings are growing. We like to get more stuff to sell, so we welcome donations of plants (garden & house plants), decorative pots, garden furniture and other garden stuff. Please think of us when you are spring-cleaning your garden, and throwing out useable plants, or making cuttings of your house plants. We aim to pick up (but it depends on availability of our volunteers). Please contact us via email (tepunaquarrypark@gmail.com) or a text to Elly (027-371 8720). Thank you!!

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
