Update to Vaccine Pass requirements
Vaccine passes will not be required at Tauranga City Council venues and facilities from 6am on Monday 4 April 2022. This includes:
• the Customer Service Centre at He Puna Manawa, 21 Devonport Road
• all libraries, including the mobile library
• all Council meetings
• Baycourt Community and Arts Centre
• Mount Beachside Holiday Park
• all council offices and worksites.
The Tauranga Art Gallery and Bay Venues-managed facilities such as Trustpower Baypark, Baywave and other public pools as well as recreation and community centres will lift vaccine mandates from 11.59pm on Monday, 4 April 2022. The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
