How to find a property that suits your needs all year round

Matt from Matt Wineera - Thats Real Estate with Matt Wineera

The time of year that you view a property can have an impact on how it looks and feels. But there are a few things you can check when inspecting a property that can help prepare you to make the right buying decision.

The orientation of the building in relation to the sun and wind patterns can change the way the home feels in certain seasons.

Consider the direction of the property to work out how much natural sunlight and airflow it will have. Based on the climate of the suburb, the direction your property faces can make it more comfortable in extreme heat and cold. This can also help you save money on your energy bills. Ideally, the kitchen, lounge room and garden should be the spaces in the home that receive the most sunlight.
