Do you feel well-prepared for a disaster?

Communications from Tauranga City Council

Results from the NZ Civil Defence Annual Disaster Preparedness Survey show only two out of five of us are ready to get through it.

At 9.30am on 27 October 2022 we’re having our national earthquake drill and tsunami hīkoi ShakeOut, which is a great opportunity to practice your drop, cover, hold action during an earthquake.

It’s also a great time to think about making a plan with your whānau to get ready for disaster. To make it easy, visit www.getready.govt.nz... and download a template, also available in te reo Māori and 21 other languages.

Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
