Right now, the rules in our city plan make it hard to build anything other than standalone houses, so people don’t have much choice about the type and size of homes they can live in. What should duplexes, terraced houses, apartment buildings look like in the future? Help us shape the city plan rules to ensure new builds create great spaces and neighbourhoods for us all to live in.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
