Have your say on the draft Dangerous Buildings Policy
We rely on external sources to inform us of dangerous and insanitary buildings – so we depend on occupants, neighbours, Fire and Emergency, Police etc. to contact us with any concerns. Why? We think using complaints – as opposed to sending staff to inspect each building/house in the city on a regular basis – is the most efficient use of resources. Have we got this right? Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
