Hospice Awareness Week 14th - 20th May 2018
Hospice Awareness Week is an opportunity for Lake Taupo Hospice to profile and celebrate the services that we provide to you – our community. Throughout the week there will be lots of opportunities for you to get to know what we have on offer, how we support and care for those in with life limiting illnesses and how we prepare, comfort and assist their families and friends during the journey. You will get the chance to meet some of our staff and volunteers, tour our facilities and hear about the impact of our work. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
