Four confirmed Covid-19 cases in Taupō
Some Stuff and Neighbourly readers have been concerned about an accurate count of the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Taupō, as opposed to the whole Lakes DHB area which takes in a population of just over 100,000 and covers 9,570 square kilometres running from north of Rotorua to Turangi in the south, east as far as Kaingaroa Village and west to Mangakino.
In response to this question Dr Phil Shoemack, Medical Officer of Health, Toi Te Ora Public Health said just after 4pm on Tuesday afternoon that confirmed cases in the DHB area are seven in Rotorua and four in Taupō.
Current confirmed cases of Covid-19:
Rotorua - 7
Taupō - 4
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
