Road closures for IRONMAN New Zealand event this weekend
The countdown to the 2020 IRONMAN New Zealand is on! With the event taking place on Saturday, March 7 please be aware of the road closures that will be in effect over the weekend. As shown on the map, the best way to get around on race day will be via the ETA, Centennial Drive, Spa Road and Napier Road.
Please be aware Broadlands Road will also be closed, which will include the ETA off-ramp at Broadlands Road. Our landfill on Broadlands Road will be closed for the day.
Please take extra care on the roads this week, keep an eye out for cyclists and runners and on the day of the event make sure you look out for signage and detours to help you get around safely. Thanks everybody!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
