Poll: Do you think these trees should have been felled?

Libby Totton Reporter from Taupō Times

A Taupō family battling the NZTA about removing trees overshadowing their property are selling the farm because they won’t live in a dangerous home.

In June, the Waikato Times visited the Blank family at their property on State Highway 5 near Wairakei after they said they were too frightened to live in their own home after trees smashed through its roof during Cyclone Gabrielle.

Do you think the trees should have been felled? Explain your reasons in the comments (add NFP if you don't want your thoughts used in print).

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
