Poll: Are you in favour of the fly-line development proposed for Hipapatua Reserve (Reid's Farm)?
An application to develop a fly-line at Hipapatua Reserve (Reid’s Farm) will be discussed at today's Taupō District Council meeting after being approved by the council’s Fences, Roading, Reserves and Dogs Committee on April 16.
The committee made the decision to approve the fly-line activity and a small café for a term of 10 years following the hearing of submissions and a right of reply by the applicant 4Nature NZ Ltd.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
