Colourful costumes on display at Wear-a-bull!
The annual Wear-a-bull Arts Awards will be held at the Bulls Town Hall on 1st September. Come along to see an amazing collection of new creations in a grand parade before the winning designers are announced.
Young designers will compete from primary, intermediate school and secondary schools, as well as from adult divisions.
Costumes and creations from previous Wear-a-bull arts shows will be on display at the Art 4 Arts Sake exhibition, alongside new paintings, ceramics, photography and other artworks by emerging artists.
Tickets to the Wear-a-bull Arts Awards are limited, get in quick! Purchase tickets from the Bulls Information Centre and Bulls and Marton Libraries.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
