Governance Bytes – Cheering on the Chairs
This month we present our tenth and final session in our Governance Bytes series – Cheering on the Chairs.
Being the Chair of a not-for-profit or community organisation can be a deeply rewarding, but also challenging role. The teams at Volunteer Marlborough and LEAD are dedicated to helping support you in your role by offering you the tools, tips, and tactics you need to lead from the front and develop a framework for making a difference in the community you have chosen to serve. In this workshop, we'll focus on the role of the Chair, including processes for building better board engagement.
Join us on Thursday, 16th November, at 6:15 pm.

This workshop will take place via Zoom (link will be sent out closer to the event).

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
